Sometimes the gear can scale at a certain rate so that it doesn't surpass the gear that's already in-line with the content, and serves as a permanent solution sometimes so it eliminates one thing you have to worry about. Lastly, getting the Helm or Ring of Omnipotence will make you SET for eternity in DCUO, meaning that there will be less overall need to get those Items until you are eventually fully "Omnipotence." In the end, there will be a LARGE gap between the "Omnipotence" and the regular T10 or wherever the full set can be finished if this were to scale. For this, I claim though it's a huge point in DCUO story, the Helm should not be dropped. An easily obtained synergy with the group, or overpowered enough, can storm through the content time and time again in 5-10 minutes, and perhaps even shorter, to gain this item. However, the problem is that it's Prime - arguably the EASIEST content in the game. Understandably, this is where the "ORIGINAL" story ends, where you finally defeat Brainiac (and then Lex Luthor has his own agenda, that's a plot continuation), and the magnitude of success is high because you put an end to Brainiac. For one, the Helm of Omnipotence is acquired at a T4 content. The reason why I think it is a little goofy is because (aka the "against" argument): I respect your opinion nonetheless, OP, because it's an interesting idea and something I haven't seen yet, but I can see based off Celestial's buffs changing into percentile bonuses rather than flat ones. The “V” in the names refers to the fact that these presets are taken from Arturia’s synth emulations (they are not sampled from the actual instruments).Getting something like the Helm of Omnipotence to scale is sorta silly to me. What makes this synth collection so interesting is that it includes widely used and legendary synths just as much as more obscure and rare synths. The helm of raedwald was not found until just over a year (377 days) after the fourth clue was made available, alongside several hints given by Jagex Moderators, on 18 July 2017. This mix makes browsing through the presets fun and exciting. The helm of raedwald is obtained from completing the fifth, final clue during the Crack the Clue event. You’ll find airy Mellotron pads next to dirty Arp 2600 sequences next to legendary Jupiter-8 leads. Now, I’m not going to review all these instruments here, especially since Analog Lab is a sound collection, not an instrument collection.
But what I do want to talk about quickly is the sound itself.
I have to say I was bracing myself for disappointment when I first opened Lab. Bede was a monk in Jarrow who wrote around 70 or more books, one of which was the incredibly influential Ecclesiastical History of the English People and he tells us much of the story. Why? Because I had read in a few forum threads that the sounds were thin, uninspiring and partially unusable. The main source of information for Edwin is to be found in the works of Bede, who was writing almost 100 years after Edwin’s death. But after just a few minutes of playing around with Lab, I came to an entirely different conclusion: Those sounds were awesome and exciting! I had so much fun playing with the collection, that I spent the next two hours just going through the presets and playing around with parameters.
