The language assistant can be switched on and off via the JBL Connect app, which is available free of charge via the Apple iTunes or Google Store. The play button must be pressed to enable Apple Siri OR Google Now, if this service is enabled on the device. The Flip3 speaker (and others from JBL) only supports the previous “JBL Connect” standard. It is currently not possible to connect the Flip3 and Flip4 speakers to each other. NOTE: All speakers must support the new “JBL Connect+” standard. Both speakers will then play the music from the same device (smartphone, tablet, computer) at the same time. Then press the “ JBL Connect+” button on both speakers to start the pairing. First, pair the Flip4 speaker as described in steps 1 to 3. The “ JBL Connect+” mode allows to connect up to 100 JBL speakers simultaneously. After approximately 10 to 15 minutes of inactivity, the speaker automatically switches to the stand-by mode. If a connection cannot be established, the speaker switches back to the pairing mode. The JBL Flip 4 speaker will automatically connect to the last used device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
